About

The LoRa reseaulibre.ca project is a community group building a mesh network in the greater Montreal area.

We are a group of makers, tech enthusiasts and amateur radio operators dedicated to the deployment and support of off-grid communication.

Concretely, we're doing decentralized, low-bandwidth and low-power communications, sharing text messages without the internet, over the entire city.

We are currently focused on Meshtastic but are also researching Meshcore, Reticulum and amateur radio.

Our mission is to provide community-owned resilient communication infrastructure for disaster recovery and local events. We also want to foster collaboration among our members and reclaim ownership of the Network.
